RESEALING OF PROBATE OR LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION IN CYPRUS
If the deceased died in the United Kingdom, any British Dominion or in any Commonwealth country, then any Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration issued by the Court in the United Kingdom or such other country may be resealed in any District Court in the Republic of Cyprus.
The resealing Order issued by the District Court is then used to release the deceased’s assets situated in The Republic of Cyprus.
The application for a resealing Order has to be made before the President or a District Judge following the filing of a detailed application together with supporting documentation.
With our experience in this area of law, we can offer assistance to Executors, Administrators, Solicitors and Accountants in obtaining the re-sealing Order from the District Court. We can also advise and assist with the administration of the estate in Cyprus and the transfer of assets to beneficiaries.
AFFIDAVIT OF FOREIGN LAW
We can assist Solicitors in the United Kingdom and in other jurisdictions by preparing an Affidavit of Foreign Law verifying the law in Cyprus regarding the Law of Succession and The Formalities of a Will.
